The Oselli MGA Sebring

The Oselli interpretation of the MGA Sebring has been developed in celebration of the MGA and its early days of racing in the USA where in the 1950’s some 70% of all MGA’s were built and then exported to this market.

Competed by independent race teams of the day, the MGA was prepared by removing any unnecessary components such as bumpers, hood, windscreen, side screens and so on. Then upgrading of engine, brakes, suspension and so on in order to be on equal terms with Healey, Jaguar, and the American cars of the day at circuits such as Sebring International raceway, where some success was achieved.

Here in the UK Oselli has a huge reputation for restoring and performance enhancing of British classic and sports cars, in particular the MG marque.

We have restored very many MGA’s over the last 30 years or so increasing performance by upgrading the engine, gearbox, fuel system, cooling, brakes, suspension, body styling and so on.

These upgrades are available as a complete package or on an individual basis and are known as the Oselli MGA Sebring.

At Oselli we can offer part or all of the sebring package fitted to your own MGA, or we can supply an MGA to suit, or even fully restore an MGA from a ‘body off’ style rebuild where you will have a choice of every thing from colour and trim spec, through to all Sebring options.

Oselli Sebring options

• Oselli 1950cc or even 2000 gfast road stage 2 lead free fully lightened and balanced engine.
• Five speed full synchromesh gearbox
• ATB differential
• Uprated cooling system to include engine oil cooler, aluminium radiator, thermostatically controlled cooling fan uprated hoses and 74 degree thermostat.
• Fully rebuilt twin SU Carburettors or the Oselli Weber 45 DCOE carburettor with cast manifold and cool air induction kit.
• Tubular long branch full flow large bore exhaust manifold and single box system. Note side exist exhaust also available.
• Negative earth conversion and installation of Alternator charging system,
• Electronic ignition with programable distributor and new HT leads.
• Oselli cast aluminium thick wall rocker cover.
• Upgraded lighting system to LED specification.
• Upgraded brakes to disc on the front and increased capacity to the rear. Including fitting of a brake servo.
• Upgrading of front suspension with ‘Poly bushed’ mountings, uprated and adjustable lever arm shock absorbers. Or even full independent ‘coil over’ suspension if preferred.
• Electronic power steering !
• Wheel and tyre combinations, limitless.
• Body styling options ;-

1. Removal of front and rear bumpers and fitting of ‘Sebring’ front valance with brake and oil cooler ducting.
2. Removal of windscreen and fitments and installation of small half or oval individual wind deflectors.
3. Removal and storage of folding hood cover and frame
4. Vented bonnet finished in body colour.
5. Removable boot lid valance finished in body colour with trimmed head rest on a quick release to give access to boot
6. Inertia reel seat belts.

Note all body styling options can be fully reversible.
